Wil Eichelberg behind the wheel of his Sport Fury convertible, with his good friend Tom Fox.
Wil writes, "I purchased this car new in 1960, and used it as a primary family vehicle until 1972, when I purchased a new 1973 Road Runner (which I still own). The Fury was driven only in reserve, and put in storage in 1975.
In 1983 after my retirement, I started some restoration work. The engine heads were renewed, the front suspension rebuilt, new exhaust system installed, and the car was activated to restricted driving for a period of time. In 1993, a new top was installed (the second and present one), and a complete renovation of the interior. The car has just had it’s first repaint in July 2004. The car runs very well with 124,000 miles on the odometer. It has a 318 4bbl, with Torqueflite.
We show the car often around the Portland Oregon area. I live in Sandy, Oregon about ten miles from Tom Fox."
