Well, this time, the Phils really are in trouble. Of the 18 teams in recent history to win the first game in a pennant series, 15 have made it to the World Series. And, guess how many series the Philles have won, where they lost the first game?
Zero. Zip. Nada.
But, hope springs eternal in PretzelTown! It’s only a game, right?
Right?
I hope they right the ship next game. It would be terrible to have you mope around again if they get knocked out. It would be a long winter of discontent…
Sometimes it takes a loss to get things going the right way again. You know a reality check that they have to work hard for it.
