The Dutch have landed

Matthew, Stefan and I spent the day galavanting about Philly - first to the Simeone Museum of racing, then to the Melrose Diner for burgers, Independence Hall, and the Comcast Center. Everyone’s crashed out, but tonight is cheesesteak night! I can’t wait to go back to work tomorrow, so I can get some rest…

Dan

Here’s where Matthew got the idea for the Fury Junior

A couple of car dudes

The only Plymouth we saw, but not a '59

I LOVE* this Hudson

Taking in the Liberty Bell

Independence Hall

I was in the same place today!

We are still very tired from the long trip and we are checking the inside of our eyes.

That’s fine, Matthew, just post when you’re ready for dinner!

Dan

I’ve dusted off Junior and its ready for its trip.

Dan - That Hudson Convertible is beautiful. There was one at a car show I went to a couple of months ago up in Port St. Lucie and there is another in John Staluppi’s new museum
Dick..

There is one here in NY that is a RestoMod Custom. Its a beauty. The fellow said it was beyond saving to restore so had to let him slide. Hope to see more of it. He took a best in show at our Elks Club extravaganza!!!

Let me know if you will be traveling to the Mystic Connecticut area while you are visiting in the States.
Mystic Seaport is closed during the week but has tours of the sailing ships on Saturday and Sunday at 1:00PM.

(tap, tap)… Hey, is this thing on?! Where are the Dutch Dudes, and what are they up to?

Hey Dan,

Check Facebook!
That’s where I found them running up and down I-95.
We missed getting together - but there’s always a chance we can do a drive-by at Carlisle.

Curt

We are doing a lot of sightseeing!
Should arrive at Steve and the junior Saturday morning.

Can’t wait to see it and maybe take a test drive

Matthew sent these pix yesterday, from the Norwich Classic Car Museum. Matthew, where’s the '59 SF?

Today, I expect we’ll see pix of the Junior!

And indeed we shall!

I’m glad we have decent internet now, it was horrible in other hotels.

The junior looked great! Wanna thank Steve again for picking it up!!!

Matthew! Where are the fender skirts?!?

No fender skirts on this one either. We want to see the white walls!!!

Hopefully it will arrive soon as it’s loaded with parts.
And then we can make a new side by side picture

Sigh!!! Another American fin car lost to the Scandinavians. Enjoy it Matthew, we will get it back when you move to the States.
Dick.

No word recently from the Dynamic Duo! Are they still Stateside, or have they flown home to meet their prized vehicle?

Dan

We are home! Arrived 2 hours ago.

Going for some sleep now

Matthew and Stefan,

I’m glad you both had a safe trip home. Sorry we could not meet up this time.
Perhaps we will see you at Carlisle this year.

Curt
