Dick and John have been getting all the press while i’m awaiting delivery of my new conv from Baltimore albeit a rusty MGB. Hope I can fit in it!!
Steve - Congratulations, I tried getting in a 1948 MG TD my uncle had shipped here from Germany, forget it. I’m far to voluptious.
Dick.
Steve, we’ll all keep our eyes open for a Golden Commando! ![]()
Dan
Are they delivering it by sleigh? ![]()
That’s what happens when I get snowed in-just me, my cats and ebay.
LOL, I can relate what year MGB? (or maybe you already said).
For a short time I commuted to my carpentry job in a MG Midget.
If you need three more cats for warmth… I can send you three more!
John Q.
Roger its a well worn 1977-supposed to run like a clock, but there’s something broke inside the dash and the key won’t work so it hasn’t run in two years. Can’t believe I may have fallen for the oldest ebay line ever. We’ll see! John thanks for the cat offer but i’ll pass.
Twin SU carbs! (From my Austin-Healey Sprite days.) Get yourself a piece of hose to tune those babes… I never got stuck in the snow. Threw that sucker in first, left the door open, got out and pushed - by myself. Just hafta make sure you don’t trip in the snow when it gets a grip!

“Runs like a clock, but something is broken”
like maybe the mainspring? (groan)
Well you got to do something when you’re snowed in so why not buy another car
How about some pictures, without pics Dick and John will keep getting the press.
Ron
Will do Ron as soon as it appears over the horizon. I asked the hauler not to risk his life getting it here. Sounds like I’ve run out of luck escaping snow storms!!
Any news on the “B”?
We keep getting horrible weather, so I Haven"t been bothering my delivery guy and the folks I bought it from are OK with it sitting on their lawn, but I think all the procrastination is coming to an end-so any day. Will keep you posted.
Steve,
I should have asked before now - where in Baltimore is this car located? I had a line on a similar car back in the early 90’s from a co-worker and passed. I should have bought the car as it sold for about half the value, but I was not well versed in the pricing of these models. We opted to buy a new Miata instead - probably the best new car we ever owned (my wife’s car). I am just curious if I know the area or the seller. I hope all is well in NY.
Curt
Hi Curt-Its on Homberg Avenue and the couple I purchased it from bought it a few years ago from a neighbor and never got it running. They thought simply because something is broken in the switch. My hope is there isn’t also a rod protruding from the block. We’ll see said the blind man-but I couldn’t resist.
The new convertible finally showed up. Needs floors, trunk-boot as they say, gas tank, ign switch etc etc. Hope to have it purring like a kitten soon. Its actually maybe in better shape than I thought. Picture to follow.
Steve,
I am glad it made it to your home safely. Now the fun begins - searching out all the little problems that could keep it from running. Keep us up-to-date on your progress.
Curt
Work in Progress
Will try to upload some pictures, but am still very upload challanged to say the least-been battling the rust worms. Replaced trunk floor, gas tank, and drivers floor and got it running really well I think, but time to back it out and work on a MOPAR!!
What, no fins?
