Starter - Nose interchange

Hello,

does anybody know if it’s possible to take the nose of a 361BB-starter and bolt it on the core of a 318SB-starter? My 318SB-starter has the # MDU-7001 and the 361BB-starter has the # MDT-6001 (if I’m not mistaken). I’d like to know this because I’m changing my 318 against a 361!

You are sailing in uncharted waters! Elt us know what you learn. When the starter “went out” on my 361, I took it in and had it rebuilt. At the time, he said that parts were getting hard to find.
