I have had this car for many years - 36, in fact. It was a wreck when i bought it. I wanted a car just like that because I had seen a similar one while at a 50s Rockabilly Show, just outside the town of Falun (in the middle of Sweden). The problem at the time was that many of the American cars were old “Swedish” cars, meaning they had seen a lot of snow and salt on the roads… And as you may know the quality of those cars wasn’t so great to begin with. So the only car that I could afford and was for sale, was a rusted out Belvedere without an engine. But I was happy (and young - 18 years old at the time).

The block is a 70s 400, and the crank is a stroked 440 so the cubic displacement is now 473. Custom pistons came from Ross. The heads are stock 452s and on top I have an Edelbrock six barrel intake with Holley carbs. The headers I made from pipes and bends… looooots of work!! The trans is a 727 with manual valve body and some better internal parts. I use the car as a street/strip car with the slicks in the trunk.
