John Q.

She just arrived at home!!!

After a little while she is finally back home :sunglasses: We took her to the shop 2008-11-29 and just got her home again. But it has been worth the waiting and money, a great job done by the shop. Now it is time to put her back together again, only 35 days left before inspection

Ron

The last pictures in front of the shop

Ready to go

Back where she belongs!

Yeah. Maybe you should have posted in the Travelogue!

Dan

Here we go!!!

She is home again

First thing to do was the rubber at fuel filler

Fuel filler area done

Isn’t this shiny? Notice the Fury in the reflection of the hood lip

Trunk logo and fin trim also mounted

Hood is also done, note the owner in the background

V8 muscles! Golden V is on the car again 8)

Must say that everything is polished first before it is going on to the car.
Car must be done before Dan arrives, hopefully we can make it

no more sleep for all of you! Work, work, work!

Some bits put on the rear of the car

Door handles and locks were easy

The pride of the Sport Fury, the medallions on the car

Spray painted the underside black again as this was painted red in the previous restoration, also headlight are mounted back

Test fit for the trim around the rear window, fits perfect! Without glue

The rear of the car is coming together

Trunk rubber installed

Antenna’s installed

Small gap between the car and the trunk lid, probably the trunk lid

Taillights and license plate on the car

Installed a rear speaker so got rid of all the wires that were hanging under the dash from the 2 rear speakers that were mounted by a previous owner

The front is starting to look like it. No better pictures for now  we wanted to drive the car to a nearby location and the minute we opened the door it started to rain after about 7 days without a drop of rain :smiling_imp:

The exterior will be ready next weekend and on May 5th the car will go back to the shop for final inspection and finishing. There are a few minor blemishes that they will take care of.

Ron

Lifting the parts from the anodizing bath

headlight trim will be on in a couple of days

Ron, The car is coming back together great! Keep the pictures coming!

John Q.

Had to start her up because the battery ran out of power

Bumper wings!

We brought her back to life

I know you all love pictures so here are some more

We did some work on the driver side

Got wings!? Only 59 with bumper wings in the Netherlands

Also some work on the passenger side

Matthew, Great pics! That one in the dark garage looks like one that should be in Christine Movie!

Beware of “Frieda Fury”! Christine’s younger sister plys the back alleys in the Netherlands!

Sorry for the Melodramatics! NIce pictures! Keep them coming!

John Q.

Fab pix, Matthew – but, you better detail the wheel wells before the American Invasion! :astonished:

Your car is coming along great, Matthew!

I really enjoy looking at your progress pics. —John

Hey John, don’t forget to include Ron and Marjo’s names when you refer to the car in the photos  …Matthew has his own project Plymouth, sitting in mothballs at the moment.
