oil filters

Hi Folks,
I am getting ready to change the engine oil..I have the factory set-up…no modifications, paper filter fitting inside the “can”…does anyone have recommendations as to filters and where to get them?

Thanks for this tip, Bob – I’m passing it on to the forum. For all of those who have the 318 V8 with the canister oil filter, you can change it to a spin on as follows: Go to you Chrysler or Dodge dealer and purchase the following: Gasket p/n 3671314, Plate p/n 2402103, adapter p/n 3671602. This will allow you to use a regular spin on filter such as Mopar #5281090. The nice thing about the Mopar filter is that it is black so it look the same as the canister, although it is slightly sm…

I know my no longer local independent auto parts store can get me Fram brand paper filters..I havent tried Napa yet.

Today I stopped by the Napa Auto Parts store and ordered two of their (Wix) oil filters @ $6.50 each. I knew they had them, I guess I was just trying to drum up some chatter on the List-
