*not* a '59 Plymouth

Posting on Roger’s behalf…

Roger,

This is a delicate question. We give an evaluation, but you have to put the money down. It all depends on how much the car worth to YOU. For 2.500$ for at least the dashboard, cluster and gauges should be ok and if the engine isn’t running, for at least it should turn freely, otherwise the price is too high. Considering the car (Windsor and not a letter car) and the parts missing or cracked I would pay something between 1500$ and 2000$ Well that’s my opinion about it, but it’s up to you!

Stefan

Stefan,
Thanks for your reply. As with many cars, this one interests me, but needs quite a lot. It does run, but the seller is brief in his descriptions, so I dont know if it runs WELL. The brakes are bad, the interior is shot, including the pitted interior chrome, which is very tiresome to replace.
The gas tank has been removed for repair..
I guess I’d give $1500 for it, and then it would just sit around my house anyway. I thought about buying it and then putting it on Ebay, to see if I could make a profit, but that too seems to be a hassle.

Roger, I sent you an email too but if you decide not to buy it I would really appreciate the vendors details etc as my friend would seriously like to buy a '58 Windsor Coupe, or we could even do a deal through you so that you don’t lose out.

Ian,
I have replied to you privately.
