I spent the day at the 2014 Norwich COC Auto Show in eastern Connecticut. The show is located at a Double A Minor League baseball stadium. If you really know me, you know that am really not a Car Show guy. I am most comfortable at a cruise … so I really am a Car Cruise guy. Yesterday I was the DJ at the United States Navy Sub Base Auto Show. We had quite a show, many events and well attended. Today the Norwich Show was competing with two other big shows. Here are a few photos of some of the classic cars that were in attendence. And yes, one of my cars were there, it is the black Plymouth Sport Fury, the lead car on the warning track on the baseball field at the Best of Show Awards ceremony.
Lotta nice cars at this event! That is one big Caddy Convertible!
John Q.
This black Cadillac convertible was once owned by the famous singer Sergio Franchi who performed with Joan Rivers at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas in the 1970s.
Sergio Franchi’s passion was collecting and restoring classic and antique automobiles. He was a long-time member of the Classic Car Club of America and won awards for his restoration work, and participated in many of their events.
The black Cadillac convertible is now owned by a local collector who has a large collection of Cadillacs from 1918 to 1956.
