HELLO TO THE DESPERATE PLYMOUTH OWNERS CLUB.WE ARE A SPECIAL BREED.
Welcome to the forum, Joe!!
—John
This is not the Plymouth Owners Club! And, as a group, I take exception…we are not a desperate lot!
But we are a special breed aren’t we?
Welcome Joe - How about telling us a little bit about yourself. Where you live etc. etc. etc. and some pictures of your car would be nice. We are not a club but a group of 59 Plymouth dedicated to the preservation and restoration of 59 Plymouths. If you get a chance check out the Forum and you should be able to have any questions you may have answered.
Welcome again,
Dick.
He’s from Down Under somewhere, as alluded to in his other post, where he is building a '57 Plymouth.
Did I chase away another potential member?
Naw, probably a time Zone difference. ![]()
John Q.
Naw back at your naw, he’s building a 1957 Plymouth, and was looking for fellow Aussie Daniel Harris. He signed on here looking for the wind-wing rubber seals. I doubt we will hear from him again.
He needs to dump the 57 and upgrade to a 59 Plymouth. Then he would be styling!
John Q.
cmon now guys I own a daily driver 57 and two 59’s!!
Missed the “POPULAR” one altogether!!! has ha..Oneday a 58 will complete my collection!!
Jason - How about some pitchuhs including the 57. My first NEW car when I was 21 yrs. old was a 57 Belvedere Convertible.
Dick.
All right I am sorry for the razzing!!
Just having some fun at your expense! OPPPS
I would like to see some pictures too!
John Q,
Thats ok John…I know you were kidding…Im just have a little fun too.
Ive been a member here for a while but I dont post much as I havnt started my 59 Belvy yet
and I know this is a 59 forum and didnt want to fill it with other stuff. You’ll be seeing me
around abit soon as I will be starting her this year after a ouple of other projets have been
completed including painting of the house (The wife’s project which I have to do. Id rather rub down the
whole car with dull sand paper by hand!!)
Im from the same town as Vic Barone and regularly see him at car shows and crooze nights.
havnt seen his convert yet but cant wait for the day.
A bit about me i guess…Im a body man by trade and worked in a crash repair for 20 years…
my real love is panel making and forming. Although my expierience is limited in restoration
and scratch building panels I have restored many cars for friends and family. bought my first 59 Plymy
at 18 (59 4 door hardtop aussie delivered rh drive. ) still currently being restored. thing was a basket case
and not even good enough for parts but back then they were few and far between so I thought id dive in!!
landed right in the deep end. bought my 57 4 years ago and did a part resto. she was too good in bocy and
engine condition to let her pass. I think the reason she didnt sell was because shes a 4 door sedan…but I love her to bits.
shes been super reliable and looks great in her cuurent colour combo. the 59 belvy coupe was bought 2 years ago
from a local importer who origonal got her from Vegas. the car is origonally from Idaho and I still have the origonal reciept
of sale from the dealer to the origonal owner. All my papers are in storage so I’ll have to find them and let you guys know.
heres some pics…
Very very nice! Thanks for posting them, It is neat to see other people from other lands have the same love for the Forward Look cars as we do in the states. I know that these cars are even rarer in your country then ours.
Like to make replacement panels eh? We can use you over here!!!
John Q.
Was the green spray paint job seen around the stainless done to make the car mimic the beautiful green over white car?
Did Joe Cauchi become Jason somehow?
Yeah I know Roger Ive taken over this thread…Bad me!
Joe lives in Melbourne and owns a beautiful red adn white 60 fury Coupe.
not sure I have any pics of it tho? will have to have a good look.
Ok, welcome to you, Jason then!
(Just needed the record set straight).
