Mopars at the Red Barns Show - July 24, 2010

There is a Mopar show Saturday July 24th at the Gilmore Classic Car Museum in Hickory Corners MI. Usually a good turn out of cars mostly late 60’s and early 70’s muscle cars, but some late 50’s and early 60’s do show up. I’ve taken my car there twice and have been the only 59 Plymouth both times, It would be nice to see a few more show up.

Shoot, I was just in Battle Creek two weeks ago for my Cousins wedding! Take some pictures of your car there if you do attend it.

I will definitely be there unless the weather is bad, I’ll post some pics

Well the weather wasn’t the greastest in the morning but it cleared up around 11. Attendance was down to about a third of normal for this show. There was two of us there with 59 Plymouths and only 1 other car that fit into the 1950-61 class. I took 1st and John with the other 59 took 2nd. John’s 59 Sport Fury is definitely nicer than my Savoy, I just got there earlier so i secured more votes. During a normal year I wouldn’t even come close but a win is a win!!! Heres a couple of pics.

This is my friends 1962 Dodge Polara 500 4 door with a factory 361 big block and it only has 31,000 original miles!!!

Both cars look great! Early Bird does get the worm… (or at least more votes!)

I hope you enjoyed your outing…I’m sure you delighted many others.
Who is the owner of the Sport Fury?

I believe his name is John Denboer, he said he had only been on this forum a couple of times

Durke

Thank you for that information.
We wish we could inspire owners to “stay in touch”!

I agree! I’m glad I found this forum! I’ve only seen John a couple times but maybe I can talk him into getting on the forum more. He did tell me that he spent about 7 years restoring his SF and that he’s owned it since 1966.

I like the red one, it is beautiful
