fuel pump

I foolishly waited until the week before the Mt. Ephraim Dodge “All MoPar Show” to fire Faulkner up. He’s running great, but - just as at the Videon show last fall - he’s leaking from the fuel pump, only worse now. I’ve got to replace it.

Claude and Keith at A to Z Fuel Pumps aren’t answering their phone today, although (I think) I left a message. Autozone doesn’t have one - two different NAPA counters have given me two different part numbers, an N68716 that doesn’t look anything like my current fuel pump, and an AFP 711 that kinda looks right - but apparently isn’t orderable online.

Anyone have advice about where I can get a fuel pump in a hurry?

Dan

AutoZone gives detailed information on the AirTex 711 - it’s the right part, and unlike NAPA, I can order online. Two day shipping; (sigh) guess I’ll be in the garage one night this week.

My Book tells me you need P/N 1843 287
Too bad you can’t find it in stock in your area stores.
Sounds like you have found a source.

Dan, might as well buy a second back up pump for the storage in the trunk. Just in case…

The AirTex from AutoZone is installed - and Faulkner is back to running great. Went for a spin, came back just before the heavens opened. I don’t know if they had the car show at Mt. Ephraim Dodge or not - but I won’t be able to make it if they went to next week’s rain date, it’s Em’s graduation party.

Super for Faulkner to be prowling the streets again of Philly and Upper Darby and even more Congrats to Em on Graduating!

What was her major? I know it was teaching but what subject emphansis?

John Q.

Early Childhood Education! She’s teaching 3-4 year olds in a preschool in Center City Philadelphia. Moving into town soon! My little girl is all grown up.

Dan; The MoPar Performance or Direct Connection high volume fuel pumps work great, A engine P4007040 and B engine P4007039.
These look exactly like the originals.
