Dual antennas for the rear trunk deck

I am looking for a set of dual antennas for the rear trunk deck for my 1959 Plymouth Sport Fury. I will also need the wiring and spliter. My email address is gabbsinpa@comcast.net. Thanks, Mark. Reading Pa.

Mark, they do come up for sale on Ebay but are pricey ($1000 -$ 1200) when they are NOS. But good used ones do come for sale. Some needing re-chroming and stuff.

Splitters come up for sale too, I will keep an eye out for a sale and email the link to you when I see some for sale.

And antenna’s:

Good work Matthew!

It is good to have an assistant in the world of Ebay watching! (especially one that is unemployed at the moment…) :astonished:

John Q.

Be careful, the above antennas are for mounting on a flat surface and do not have the base that are thicker on one edge for mounting on a slanted surface, I see nothing in the Gary Goes Catalog or have never heard of Plastic Bases for antennas. MAKE SURE.
Dick.

Gary Goers is making the flat rubber gasket. At John Q’s place I saw the plastic bases. Works the same only the plastic ones are slanted like the antenna’s.

Antenna’s for 57, 58 and 59 should be the same

60 and 61 Chrysler and De Soto with search tune and rear single antenna still had splitter in trunk area.

Somehow these don’t look exactly correct. Count me as one more who has never heard of plastic bases made to adapt flat bases to slanted surfaces.
I suppose if these don’t work on the '59, you certainly could turn right around and sell them to a 57 Fury owner!

Not sold for $650.

Seller relisted them for $600!

Hi John - Matthew indicated you have a pair of wedgies, could you post a picture, I have never seen any. The pair for the antennaes of course.
Dick.

Dick, I shall do so, I am leaving for work right now but will take the pics this evening for your viewing pleasure!

Here is a picture of the angled dual antennae gasket bases (used) that I have that are original Mopar style, One has a RH and the other for LH for side orientation on where to put them on the trunk lid.

top view of them, top one is the LH (drivers) side and bottom one is the RH (passenger) side.

Pardon me for saying this but those are the gaskets for the antenna bases, as suppled by the factory!

These are for the antenna’s that I posted. They are not angled so the gasket is plastic and they are angled.
Most dual rear antenna’s are angled so they can have flat rubber gaskets.

The gaskets that John has in combination with angled antenna’s make them double angled so they are pointing to each other

thanks for trying to explain, but I don’t have any idea what you are talking about  !

Hi Roger, It was on the dual antennaes and to look for the flat or the angle bases and then we morphed to the angled gaskets bases that go with the angled antennae bases. I happen to have a set of original angled base gaskets and Dick Koch wanted to see them.

I posted the pic’s so others can see them too!

Check out the eBay link I posted with the antenna’s. Looks like the antenna bases are the same height on both side. If they are you jeednthe gaskets John has.

Most antenna’s have a thicker base on one side so they are angled. With this you need a flat gasket.
