It’s been almost twenty two years now since the start of the '59 Forum, and times have passed us by. Forums have lost traction to Facebook and other social media sites, mostly because of pagination, poor handling of media, and lack of integration with… Facebook! But that’s about to change.
I’m in the process of moving the site from “phpBB” - the current incarnation of the Forum - to “Discourse”, with more of a Facebook look and feel. There are some issues to iron out, but my goal is to keep each and every post, going back to March of 2004. Images, videos and pdf’s too! I have loads of content to upload, but my preoccupation with the transition has kept me busy. Perhaps by our 22nd Anniversary, we will have made the change.
