The “Fifty-Nine Motel” in Mechanicsburg was a pleasant enough drive to the Fairgrounds, but this past year they eliminated a free breakfast. Not so much of a good deal anymore. So, I went with the Motel 6 in Carlisle - a stone’s throw from the Fairgrounds, and I got a geriatric rate. I reserved two rooms, in case Ron and/or Matthew are able to make it - there’s two beds in my room, Dick, if you decide you can make it.
Just sayin’.
I will be there! No doubt about it. Don’t wanna miss this show.

Are you sure on the motel 6 in Carlisle?
I think Jim Rawa stayed there last year and I remember him telling everybody the cockroaches were just walking through the rooms

Matthew, I’m going on the 13th. You (and your dad?) are going on the 12th, I’ll catch up with you there. I am 100% sure that Faulkner will be there for the 60th Anniversary. Less sure, about the 59th Anniversary…

Dick, I am getting the faint hint that Dan is trying to tell you something…???
William, Dan does this every year, it’s on my bucket list and hopefully I’ll scratch it off my list soon, but sorry to say not this year. My wife and l plan on driving our convertible to visit family this October in New Orleans our hometown for a few days then for a few days we are going to www.crusinthecoast.com which has 6 venues along Hwy 90, a 50 mile stretch right on the Gulf of Mexico. One of the venues is Bay St. Louis, MS where l was born in 1936 and lived with my grandmother during WW2. A age ten we moved to New Orleans. There was over 8,000 cars last year. There is an auction, a flea market, entertainment at each venue, casinos all over the place and if you get validated at each venue you are eligible for twenty $500.00 drawings. It’s a week long event, the car show part is three days. I won’t do Carlisle until Dan brings his finished restoration. Ha, that’s a boost Dan.
Next year fershur Dick, if I have to fly Matthew over here in March! Next year is the big Six-O, Faulkner will be there. I’m thinking about T-shirts now. Faulkner’s expecting to park next to Bertha Irene and… Well, you know. Who knows, mebbe they can have Fury Juniors!
