Carlisle 2015

Anyone here going? There will be a special focus on the Forward Look cars this year, being that I’ve never been to a Carlisle event, I and my wife will be taking time off to see this one. It’d be nice to meet some of you east coast guys!

—John

John,

Wonderful! I so look forward to meeting you! Bring Tom Fox with you. Ron, Matthew and I will be there.

[John Quinn and Dick Koch, insert your sorry-ass excuses here.]

Can’t wait!

Dan

It is on my calendar and I will be making every effort to attend this special Forward Look show.

Larry

Yes. It will be good to finally meet you as well, Dan! As of now, I doubt my '59 will be ready, most likely we’ll bring the red '57 Fury, or possibly the '58 Dodge Custom Sierra or Custom Royal.

—John

If you’re bringing your car, and you sign up under “Forward Look”, you get a 20% discount. Faulkner is signed up - see you there!

Sorry *ss what? Working out the details on it. I have to be in Michigan two weeks before Carlisle for my Nieces wedding. But I still may Fly in just to tweak your nose Mr. Dan! :astonished:

John Q.

Take the convertible to Michigan and and the way back make a left just south of Toledo, you’ll be the first one to arrive at the fairgrounds  See you there!

Ron

Ron, I was wrong you are not navigationally challenged… That had crossed my mind to do that. But I have my Dad to fly out to Michigan for the wedding and a long ride in my Ram Pickup with car trailer would not sit well with him. I have to come up with another way to get it out there,

I figured we would have a big “whoop-te-doo” when the 59’s turns 60 in 2019 which is not that far away. (in dog years…) :unamused: I wonder how much to just ship it to Carlisle and pick it up there? I gotta figure this one out a bit…

John Q.

I know - let’s ship Matthew to Arvada!

I’ll pick it up, no problem!
Should be a really nice drive to carlisle :sunglasses:

John Quinn, Dick Koch…

Just sayin’.

Dick and John,

I’m bringing my Belvedere all the way from the left coast for this party! I am already registerd at Carlisle and have a motel reservation in Mechanicsburg. I’m just sayin’.

Tom Fox

Dick and John,

We brought a car from Washington to Europe and fly over from Europe for Carlisle 2015. I’m just sayin’.

Ron

Ron - If John and I had perpetual vacations and your kind of money we wouldn’t have a problem either. I’m wanting to go so bad it’s unreal but don’t know yet.
Dick.

Come on folks!!! Register and bring your 59’s!!!

I have a Forward look surprise and I’m ready for Carlisle.
Suitcase is empty so it can be filled with parts

Just sayin’.

Sorry to Say I won’t be able to make it this year, My niece’s son is getting married and I have to go under penalty of death, you’all know what I mean. Maybe next year???
Dick.

Any more 59’s going?
I know Virgil Exner jr is going to be there as a guest!

Earl Hess? (I’ll volunteer for the convertible  )
Mark Evans?
Jim Hamsher?

I’m goin’. Just sayin’.

Went visiting Mary Kay’s kids in NYC last night, and got home in time to finally back Faulkner out after a long winter’s nap. I had been worried about a minor leak in the rear passenger brake cylinder - brakes hung up a bit last Fall - but a quick check of the master cylinder showed no real loss of fluid, and the brakes worked like a champ. Still, I’ll probably pull the drum when the Keijs get here and have a look.

Faulkner is running like a dream. Even looks good from twenty feet, although get up close and you can see the squirrel pawprints in the dust on the fenders. Yeah, he got locked in the garage and tore up some cardboard for a nest, Danke Gott he did not feast on the interior. Even made a nice little hole in the roof trying to get out! All fixed now. Now, to give Faulkner a good cleaning next weekend, and get ready for Carlisle.
