This could be a pretty good deal for somebody, if only for the parts. Anyone near Bolivar, Missouri that could check this out and report back? This from Dave Harmon:
I have pretty much everything to build a 59 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible, including ALL of the unicorn stainless and dimpled filler panels in real nice condition. It has a rebuilt 361 with a real dual quad intake and carbs. Included are 2 complete dashes - one for a hard top, and some other hardtop pieces as well.
There’s a brand new restored vert top in a crate (Restored by Benny Buckner). The car is legit, but in pieces. I have complete hardtop interior and the vert rear seat frame, all interior fillers, brand new chrome bumpers done by one of the best chrome platers, trans is rebuilt as well. The chassis is all finished black powder coat. The X frame is beautiful. Included are 2 original bubble windshields in good shape.
So now the bad: The rear section of the frame was severely damaged by an evil landlord, so it will need to be replaced by a frame shop. It’s just the rear square section, including the perches for the leaf springs and hangers.
I have all these parts on the frame that’s under the body we were working on to convert into a real convertible (it was a hardtop) - it all needs to be welded up and finished. It’s a big project to finish the body. I have vin tags for the convertible and the hardtop. I also have all the emblems, they are nice as well. All the super rare stainless and moldings, fillers are there - and there are new door panels.
The title is tricky though. It could be had, but it’s in Arizona - it’s for the convertible. Personally I would put the value in everything but the body. I’m in Bolivar, Mo and the frame and all the goodies are in a storage facility. It’s a complete car in storage minus body. I would love to move it all as a lot. Come take a look if interested or make me an offer - I would take 4K for all of it.
