A satisfying end to a long road

Last January, when the first mason fell off the planet and things looked really bleak, I wrote:

(sigh) I don’t think I’m supposed to have this garage. Maybe I’ll just chuck the rubble back in the trenches, and forget about it.

A lot has changed since then. The railing around the deck just went up yesterday – and today I rolled out the 9x20 G Floor mat that came recommended by Dick Kock (thanks for the tip, Dick! Here’s the info for the flooring, for anyone who’s interested: Contented Now! - #12 by Dick_Koch).

There will be painting to do when the pressure treated lumber dries out, I’ll want to run power and lighting to the deck, a water line for Marie’s plants, etc. But the job is largely complete – here’s some pix. All’s well that ends well!

P.S. With a bit of luck, and if I can keep the old boy running – Faulkner will come home next weekend, for radiator repair and a much-needed tuneup

will you have Matthew trowel on the DriLoc this summer? Actually his dad is the plasterer…

Actually, Faulkner has other plans for Matthew :sunglasses: No, that white paint is UGL DryLok. We haven’t had a good rain in a while, we’ll see how it helps. Also, I flashed the wall to my neighbor’s gutter on the other side – that should help immensely.

…and after winning the judgement against the first contractor, his property is now going up for sheriff’s sale. If I get anything out of him, I’ll pay someone to stucco. And if I don’t… at least I’ll get satisfaction that he’s sleeping on the floor :laughing:

My offer to do the stucco still stands. You will have to rent some tools though because my mixer won’t get on the plane since it weighs more than 79 pounds :laughing:
