John Q.

Thanks John! You are The 59SF MAn!

A little correction is in place here: Thanks John! You are The 59B MAn!

Only until I finish mine!!!

Lets see Dick has 3 of them, Roger is in between Plymouths and the Keij’s have two of them and I can’t finish off the only one I have… I am a toddler in the 59 Plymouth land!

Back out to the garage I must go!

John Q.

True but Dick has two SF and one B in progress. Until this day when it comes to 59 Belvies you are the man! I did not imply anything else with 59 B man than that. And on anything later than 1959 you are the man too! (with a little advice from Rick maybe)

of course I only meant-sf-in its general definition, being the name of this Group. Or maybe I am still living in the past. What _is_the current name for this group…59SF or 59P? Or is it both? Let’s have a ruling-

If you want to navigate to the forum 59Plymouth is the only one that is working properly, try the 59SF and it will make you log in every visit. I think John is behind that as he is badly discriminating us Sport Fury owner’s, he tolerates us on the forum because the convertible started it’s life as a Belvedere with that preferred trim level. And he only visited Dick now because he also bought a Belvedere

Naw! I would like as many SF’s as possible in my fledgling fleet of 59 Plymouths. It is just I drew a Belvedere straw with my car and at that time had no idea that Belvedere Converts were rarer then SF converts. So naturally I jumped on that trim difference an scarcity.

My car was blessed with a lot of the SF standard parts that were ordered on my car and then I am adding swivel seats deluxe wipers and a SF looking interior too! So I am almost a 7/8 SF. Essentially owning the 2nd authorized and rare Sport Belvedere model. :stuck_out_tongue:

Is it authorized already???

Yes, since I used to work for Chrysler, I dug out some Chrysler memo pad stationary I still had and wrote down a note on it and said 'Let it be Written" Blah blah Blah…and said there were two made!

Can’t get more official then that!!! :sunglasses:

LOMAO in Denver!

Currently the 59B Convertible Top Dog is Tom Fox, anybody remember him. John you are next, then me, when I finish. John if you want to complete the transition to SF I have an extra set of sport trim and a couple medallions waiting for you.
Dick.

Somewhat off the topic of Belvedere vs Sport Fury, and what is the current name for this ragtag group , I have heard from tom fox…he and wife have completed their move to southern oregon to get out of the snow and be nearer their grandchildren. They have a brand-new 5-car attached garage. I did not ask him if he would be coming back online to 59whatever…

We did stray off course a bit from this thread, I am far behind Tom Fox Quality of restoration and the Keij’s convert (former Roger Howard stallion convert) in quality. I will call mine a good Google Earth restoration. Looks good from Space!
overall. I already want to do a repaint!

Knowing how you did your red SF, Richard, I know the Bevly convert will be super when you get to it. I will stay to the Belvy trim that is fine with me and I would lose some of my 59 Forum ammo to go to a SF exterior trim. But thanks for the offer. Interior trim is as far as I will go! (Pam likes that over the Belvy style!)

Roger may be right on the money calling us the 'rag tag group" just a bunch of boisterous boys crooning about their cars!
