125K at Auction.

59 Sport Fury Convertible went for $125,000.00 at Auction. I’ve never seen it before, it sure does have a lot of credits.

Wow! That’s a lot of dollars for a 59 SF convertible. There is only a couple items I would tell the owner. that the heater hoses on the firewall need to be swapped around and the 59’s did not come with Chrysler 300 wire wheels, but other then that,… Nice car!

I wonder how much my rarer (in production) Belvedere convert would go for? Maybe a Million dollars!! :unamused:

Does anyone know any history about this car? VIN number for Matthew’s registry?

John Q.

I’ve seen some pics of this car but don’t have the VIN yet. Would love to inspect the car!

John, they gave the a belvy verts away

That’s the one we talked about earlier this year, was at Carlisle in 2007, etc.

Matthey, I gave you the VIN quite some time ago I think. Will have to look it up again, it was shown in the original auction listing, and is the highest numbered SF that has turned up, M293 106XXX.

Thanks to whoever found the sales results, I looked unsuccessfully for that info then forgot about it. Not surprised at the price due to the “story” surrounding this car,

Bernie

Now I remember!

Just checked, it’s not on my list yet. Got a pic of that VIN somewhere but I don’t know where.
If you have the VIN please send it to me.
Doubt it would be the highest but we will see!

Sigh…The Bevly converts probably were dismantled so its high brow brother (sister?) would be put back on the road. Though some of my parts on my convert came from a SF convert, so I guess it is fair that parts went both ways…

John Q. - Don’t you think it’s strange for someone to go to the expense and trouble to cross the pond risking life and limb to take a ride in a “give-a-way” Belvy convertible.
Fellow owner,
Dick.

Yes, I see your point Mr. Koch. Well stated!

Just in case, I am going to double my security detail that guards the convert at night with two more attack kitties. That should scare off any intruders.

John Q.

Is there a litter box in your garage, John? Better keep the top up.

Dan

You can hire me as a security guard John!

While waiting for people to come in I can even work on the car

With three cats in the Quinn family feline herd and one of them being a 20 lbs Maine Coon cat, we have two liter boxes available for their use. (I am on Litter box detail every 3 days as is..) But one in the garage might work out well to keep the field mice situation at bay! We should be well protected from a …“Cat burglar” :unamused:

John Q.

John - I would love to see a picture of your cats, especially the Main Coon. I have a friend that had a Tammy, Main Coon that was huge, when he stood on his rear feet his head was at my belt.
Dick.

John has a great pic of Miss Moo

Matthew saw Conan, our orange Maine Coon when he was hear, as did Ron and Marjo last year. The cat is huge! He ways around 20 pounds and jumps from the kitchen island to the refrigerator top and then up to the top area above the cabinets and stares down at us. Like he is in the woods waiting for small woodland prey to come into sight.

I will did up a a picture of him soon.

Miss Moo, is our 14 year female black and white cat who loves Matthew and sits on his lap when he visits. Matthew has a way with animals that is for sure. They just gravitate to him. Should have been a Vet!
