Sport Fury Headliner

Post by duggar »

Is Mopar Mel the only place to buy an original headliner and the retainer strips for a Sport Fury?

Someone attempted a small production run of the trunk mats. Reportedly the mats came out too thick to form-fit the trunk, and no more were produced. These were being sold at swap meets, thru Hemmings Motor News and the WPC Club by Valley Vintage Auto Parts.
You could try contacting V.V.A.P....maybe he knows where to get a mat.
You might also try asking around on ForwardLook.net.

Thanks, I have carpet in the trunk now and it looks great. I just thought if the mat was available I would buy one. I will forget for now. Thanks for the info.

John Quinn bought a trunk mat.
When I saw it at his house it was still in the box but it looked very good when he took it out.

He might have some information on them

Good tip, Matthew. I wanted to believe that other repro mats were out there, but I have no information on them. John is in FLA right now, but I know he will respond to this soon.

Roger, I did buy one a year ago from a vendor in either Ohio or Pennsylvaina. I had recieved the name from Ron Keij and the guy had a couple of them but the mold had broken and was fixing it. I bought one ot the two he had from a previous run, Very nice re-pop.

Matthew, ask you dad who that vendor was. He should have the info on him. I will go thru my notes when I get home to see if I can come up with his name.

Ohio, you say. Valley Vintage Auto parts ( V V A P ) is out of Ohio, I believe. The guy's name is Al Kvatak (sp).
The mats he had were nice, but not perfect repro's. Seems like the price was $300+...not too terribly thick....
It was a few years aog, so my memory of them has faded.
