Thanks John! I thought there was another place to get this done with, I need to get some of the Turquoise material for the center area to be recovered in. But Koch’s sounds much more reasonable to use.

NO! You cannot order a deluxe horn ring “re-cast” in urethane! interesting concept, though.
And no, they do not supply horn rings…they only re-cast steering vintage wheels.
The horn ring is made of the mysterious pot-metal…I really dont know what potmetal is, but it must have been cheap and easy to cast. It does develop pits due to internal mis-match of ingredients, or so I’ve been told.
John Fowlie, thanks for supporting my memory that a re-cast steering wheel did not cost me $1500-2000!
John - If possible include me in this deal. I need my SF wheel recast.
Dick.
Will do Dick, I just dug min out for look and a to take some pics of the parts of the inner horn ring area.

Where are your pictures, JohnQ? ![]()
Roger, I did take them but the Bronco’s were on and I had to wait till the game was over to get them downloaded and posted.

Did the Broncos win?
Barely! 17-9 over the Chiefs.
here are the pics of my old wheel and a plated full horn ring.

Half horn ring , upper or lower part broken, Bow tie pivot bar, on of 4 hold down post broken, still works though, these parts are free if someone wants them, better then nothing..
Close up of broken bow tie pivot piece.
Front view of Plymouth name plate and remnants of fabric that cover center hub and spoke area. Not for sale or give away, I need this part.
Back side of plymouth center piece with the 3 screws needed for attachment to chrome horn bar.
picture of good 4 post/hold down tie pivot bar that I am keeping.
Picture of re-chrome complete horn rings with metal fabrick hold down plates that fit to the horn bar. I painted these black as these were rusty a bit.
Picture showing the black hold down plates installed using the tangs on the plates that fit into the re-chrome horn ring.
Mark, if you are still looking this might be the end of it Pardon Our Interruption...
$80 is a fair price for this piece and Jeff is one of the good guys in parts land!
