Hmmmmm is this a problem

 So should I be worried about this??? Didn’t know where to post this, but I have discovered the missing bolt is an issue with performance. The car was just not running right, so I had thought I would take look at the carb. Hmmmmmmm been meaning to adjust it for a while. Didn’t know I would be performing surgury :unamused: Merry Christmas everyone.

PS The Belvey is recovering well, and ran great this evening!!!

Others may be better at this like John Fowlie or Mopar Ricky, but that looks like you are missing the pivot bolt to the acceleration pump lever on your carb. Take a look at the exploded diagram in you service manual for this carb to confirm it. But from what I see it looks like that is the function of the lever and the missing bolt…

Yep, that happened with mine when i had it, another bolt and away it goes!

When you do replace the bolt, use Loctite on it and it will stay in place.

That pivot bolt missing will cause stumbling, hesitation, and stalling. If you are unable to find a replacement shoulder bolt locally, I may have a junk carburetor I can rob one from.

Thanks John. I will let you know. Yea, that sorta summed up how she was runnin. I don’t get on it so to speak when driving, so it was subtle. But she does run better now. I can see, feel and hear a difference. LOL, funny how stuff can creep up on ya.
