I am quite certain the cushions are not to be used as pairs. I am positive that the two cars I re-bodied (cvt and HT), there was only the one thick cushion at each point, set between frame and body. The “protrusion” (sleeve, collar) fits into the frame holes, with the body then set on top of them.
As said earlier, I can’t recall where the cup washers were used, maybe at the firewall and trunk perches? I don’t know if I have any photos pertaining to this matter.
I suggest we contact John Fowlie..he is experienced in all this…
Guys, I have got some notes here somewhere from when I stripped my car, I will look for them over the next day or so and let you know, I took note of every washer and rubber position in relation to the frame and body, by memory each one is slightly different from front to back but I need to find my notes, I might be able to take some photos as well to explain a little better.
Until Dan posts his photos, hee is a place wher you can see the mounts on a 59 Chrysler.

As to the body mounts, the rubber disc with the slight protrusion fits into the frame hole on the top, after the body is placed on the chassis again, there is a 3/8" bolt with a washer that goes through the hole in the floorboard and through this frame mount. There is a flat rubber disc with no protrusion and a large flat washer the same diameter of the disc, followed by a lock washer and a nut to complete the mount assembly.
The cup washers are only used at the very front where the firewall supports meet the frame. Towards the rear of the frame, just inside the rear of the wheelwells, there is a small rubber pad that mounts to the frame by a small rubber ‘tit’.
