Engine & trans swap?

I have a 318 2bbl and a 2speed powerflite. I am thinking about swapping for an LA 318 or 360, and a 727 transmission with a Lokar shifter through the floor. Any ideas or recommendations? How different are the motor mounts for this job, and do you think I will encounter transmission clearance issues?

I don’t believe this to be a difficult swap, although you will need to fabricate a trans. mount, different exhause headpipes, and a custom driveline. Is your current drivetrain tired?
