Cant make heads nor tails of this thing, got it from Stellantis. I was pleasantly surprised they had anything, tbh…

[Here’s a topic](https://59plymouth.net/t/ibm-punch-card-info/3217/8) to get you started, Henry! In the meantime, I will alert Matthew Keij, our build card expert, to your inquiry - perhaps he will have some more detail.

Dan

P.S. I’ve taken the liberty of rotating the image here…

BTW, Henry, was there an accompanying letter, one that decoded the dealership, perhaps?

Good Morning!

Thank you for all the help. I appreciate turning the card, i was (and am) on a work puter and it wasnt an option to turn it.. I had read that string and still couldnt make heads nor tails of it… This was the only thing in the reply from stellantis; tbh I was surprised they had anything at all and in relatively readable.. I am looking forward to seeing what this turns out to be!!

Thanks again, H

Stay tuned, Henry! My recollection is that the photocopy of the microfilm was accompanied by a letter, and that the letter provided the name of the dealer that corresponded to the dealer code.

Did you receive a letter with the photocopy?

I printed out the build card today and got the codes from it.

I’ll find all my codes and post it Saturday or Sunday!

Alright, let’s go!

VIN: M296104820

M: model year 1959
2: Plymouth, V8
9: Sport Fury
6: build in Detroit
1: sequential numbers
04820: 4820th Sport Fury build in Detroit

Sched (Scheduled build date)
0320 - March 20th 1959
They actually build it in the scheduled build date and it was shipped March 21st with route code 20 which unfortunately I don’t know what it is.

Body type - 292
2dr hardtop, Sport Fury

Colors (PT):
XN

Top first so X:
Iceberg white
Body:
N: Flame red

Interior (TR - Trim)
347 - Red
So it would have a black dash and black carpet

Now, option codes:
293: Torqueflite 3 speed automatic
301: Power steering
302: Power brakes
312: Accesory group including:
Back up lights
Windshield washer
Variable speed windshield wipers
333: Dual rear antennas
345: Heater - hot water with defroster
373: Golden commando 395 engine
396: Torsion air suspension
405: Mirror-matic - automatic electronic dimming mirror
441: Radio
466: Solex tinted glass
533: 3:31 ratio rear axle

No idea on these:
These are both “tire” options
581
593
Im going to assume it has the 8.00X14 whitewall tires which would be the “3” option. The “1” option would be 7.50X14 tires. The 581 might be a code for the wider wheel.
All I can tell for sure is that your car had whitewalls

602: This one has something to do with things to do in the factory

Too bad I can’t decode the Tire options. I’d like to say for sure what they are
