Carlisle 2019!

140 days!!

I guess we are in for 2 banners

Andre from Germany wants 2! I’ll pick them up for him

Franks wants 2

Yup, I’m keeping track! I’m going to start a new post in “For Sale”. In a month or so - after I’ve collected everyone’s order - I’ll place a bulk order. Then, I’ll get the straps stitched and we’ll be ready for Carlisle!

Er… Almost. I do have to put Faulkner back together again :astonished:

Countdown to Carlisle!!

There must be dozens and dozens of folks registered under 59plymouth.net by now, right?!?

Um… Whassup widdat?!? C’mon folks! Sign up, let’s make a showing at Carlisle!

We are still planning on attending, but weather I bring the Savoy is still in question. Ill have a better idea in May on weather or not I am going to be able make that happen. I’m gonna try like hell tho! Would end of May/ early June be too late to register??

William, I wouldn’t stress yourself out! While I’d love for “Sid” to make it, the fact that you’re even coming is what’s most important. But there are lots of area folks with '59 Plymouths that are already on the road, I’m hoping to hear from more of them.

122 days and counting  hope every one is getting their 59s road ready

Carlisle Events is promoting T-Shirts for the Chrysler Nationals, where of course the 50th Anniversary of the Dodge Charger Daytona & 500 threatens to upstage us:

We can’t let 'em. Time to resurrect the '59 Plymouth T-Shirt, in a 60th Anniversary Edition… This time, not in Dead-of-Summer, Heat-Absorbing Black  :unamused:

Hey, Dan. Hey, Will. Hey, all you Forward Lookers. I’m back in the Plymouth driver’s seat, now that the ice has melted off the Ohio house and it’s safe to venture north from Florida. After being parked in the garage since the first snow last fall, the Belvy is back on the road and in for a few repairs to make sure she’s ready for the trip to Carlisle. Differential seal, brake master cyl, carb rebuild, gas tank puncture reseal and a tune up. So far so good. Fingers crossed that will be enough to get us to Carlisle and back. Dan, I need to register for the show. A question: is this the right classification? It’s the only one that seemed to fit. Chrysler Classification:430: FULL SIZE - 1955-61 CARS. Thanks much.

Welcome back Gary!! Glad to hear your back in your Plymouth!! I have about 6 weeks to go before I’ll be dragging or driving my 59 to Florida for my next duty assignment!

Sounds like your hitting all the key points to getting road trip ready! Looking really forward to seeing every one and thier cars !

Gary, yup - that’s the right class. And 59PLYMOUTH.NET is the right club! Glad to hear we’ll be seeing you at the show!

Well, I picked up the Belvy this morning and I am psyched. Carb rebuilt, new brake master and brake job, gas tank leak fixed, differential seal replaced, headlight switch replaced, valves adjusted, tune up, oil change. And countless other mini-fixes. This baby is purring. And all to get ready for the 3-hour drive from Youngstown to Carlisle in July. Upholstery redo and new paint will be post-show, but if you want to hear a 318 engine like it just rolled off the line, this one is it.

I wanna hear it. I wanna hear it!!

Cant wait to hear it!!!

Now all you need is a sign for Carlisle stating “UNDER CONSTRUCTION”.
Dick

I will be there!!! Marjo had her hip surgery two weeks ago and everything went well, the severe pain is gone and she can do a lot of things herself already. It’ll be a long way until she is completely recovered and she still has trouble with a hernia but so far we can’t complain. She told me that I could go ahead and make the trip so I bought tickets yesterday. So exited to see everybody real soon!!

Ron

Room 302 is ready, Ron! Also, needle nose pliers, screwdrivers, upholstery spray, etc., etc.

Oh, Yeah. I can taste it now.

Tom Fox. Just Sayin’.
