2012 revisited PHOTOS!!!!!!!!!!

No, really, not on MY account…well, okay then…the days are only so long, and numbered, as we all get reminded of, sometimes too frequently.
When Spring comes to your neck of the woods, I wonder if you’d consider a group photo…Belvedere and Cuda.
(trying to recall your Cuda’s color)

Ron, did mark Evans get his own completed-car page on Showcase? Where can I find that pic he posted of his car among the autumn leaves?

No page for Mark yet. I asked a lot of people for a short story and some pics of their car but in the last 6 months there was not a single reply… I can steal shots form the forum but I do tell people that I will make a page for them and it won’t be published until they approve it first.

You might be able to find the picture by going to Mark’s profile and click on “view members posts” if that does not work you need to ask him or Matthew where the picture is

Ron

You need some wide whites john :sunglasses:

Funny… I don’t remember wide whites on 59 Plymouths. Only about 2 1/2 inch to 2 11/16".

Wide whites may not be “correct” but they do look good!

I agree! I have some Brand New Port-A-Walls Wide Whites (P-A-W) inserts, but am looking for some taller tires, like a 215-70 R-14’s or maybe 75R-14s to put on with the P-A-W’s,

I have P205-70R-14’s on it now. Hope to pick up 4 this month and have them mounted.

Ok some have asked and I deliver!

Top down pics with Foothills of the Rocky Mountains in the back ground!

Cuda is FE5 Red but still not done yet,  Which reminds me to call the guy who is doing the body work to see when we can get some color on it and instal the motor and engine on that one. (340 4bbl auto).

Sure would like that one done soon too!

John Q.

Ok enough about my pics of my 59 but here is some pics from the same time I took mine with my hand held digital camera and some people who looked at my car had a high dollar camera with a telephoto lens on it.

This gentleman emailed me his pics and wow! What a difference! His camera captured the essence of the car and the Foothills/Mountains in the back ground that I could not do.

After this, no more pics of my car on this thread…

Hey, Thats the lake between our towns, I see the flatirons behind the Plymouth in the one picture. You need the bumper sticker; If you don’t like the way I drive. Stay off the sidewalk!

Is that what the sign seen on the utility pole in the sidewalk shots say?
Or something like " Mr Quinn’s Highway"
The rain has closed in here…love your pics.
the pink Mopar seen recently in one of your Meet pics is RickyMopars.

Yeah.. took a chance on the sidewalk shot, Had to wait till traffic cleared to step into the street to take my Pics.

The pink Mopar is Rick’s wife Debbie 71 Challenger convertible, Pretty neat car! Ron and Marjo were able to ride in it when they were here a year or so ago.
Rick Lives on the North Side of the lake and I live on the South west side, about 10 mins away which is convenient when mooching off his technical knowledge and raiding some of his cars for parts!! :astonished:

East of Colo Springs..on hwy 94, is Ellicott, where there is/was an auto salvage yard. I only saw it in a video made some 10-15 years ago. I wonder if the yard is still there. They had irregular hours of operation, but they had some good stuff.

The yard is there, I found a friend of ours stolen 58 Dodge Coronet convertible in there. The owner/manager, tried to charge us storage fees. We convinced him otherwise..So good luck. The mostly complete cars in there belong to someone else. The yard is actually in the township of Callahan. Nearly every Forward Look Member Knows of this storage yard.

It would be nice to find any Convertible Forward Look car in any salvage yard…Those days are gone I believe. Maybe a few "Car in a Barn/Garage’ stories still out there. But very few of them are left.

My car in the middle of a Montana Prairie ranks up there but I was told about it rather then stumble upon it…

John Q.

Was the 58 Dodge cvt the one seen in the video? Needing a total restoration..like I said, the video has to be 10±15years old.
I believe you are right in saying that all the medium to big yards have been “discovered”, crushed, pushed out or shut down. That leaves the rare private yards such as Ragtop’s discovery up in Conifer

I’ve created a MONSTER!!! More Pictures!!! Feeeed Meeeee. OK, Who’s turn is it now!!! Step up!!!

You are right! We kinda took this one over a bit… More car pic’s please from others! We need to pass the time better before Spring!

My '59 is a long way from being on the road, I guess I could put pics up of my other Mopars that are a bit more presentable, though.
