The 59 Plymouth project is now about 99% done! It will probably never be completed as I will always have some things I want to improve. I drove it for about 50 miles last Saturday and everything works well and the AC blows cold and it does not overheat! (It was 110 in Phoenix during my drive) I installed about 125 lbs of sound deadening material and it made an unbelievable difference with a quiet ride that is similar to a nice new car with the exception of a louder exhaust. Prior to the restoration it was like driving a motorcycle with the wind blowing through the firewall hole along with the heat and engine noise. When it cools down a little bit I will take it over to Firebird Raceway for a few passes on the 1/4 mile.
Great work!
What else can be said?I
BEAUTIFUL CAR - GREAT RESTORATION!
How about another short video of the car running agaain?
Jealous in MD,
Curt
Ditto Curt. Surprise, you kidding me, I can just hear all those late model Camaro, Mustang, Challenger and Yes, Viper owners saying “WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT”
Dick
Thanks for the kind words! I will do a short video this weekend. I will try to find a secluded place to do a drive by and maybe a little burn-out. Anything else you would like to see on the video (that won’t get me arrested)?
A simple walk around the car (running) will do it for me
I just want to hear that Viper exhaust.
Thanks,
Curt
Just a another neat Belvedere on the road to terrorize the Fords and Chevy drivers in Arizona! Great work on getting all the parts to work in Harmony together.
