Here's an article the late Bob Hinds wrote for the Plymouth Owner's Club Bulletin, #316 (Sept./Oct. 2012) about his attendance at the Keeneland Concours d'Elegance in Lexington, Kentucky that year. He does not mention him by name, but he came at the invitation of "a gentleman", who was none other than Art Schlachter! Art went on to take ownership of this sterling Sport Fury.
Last year, Jane Hinds was kind enough to send me some photos that remained on Bob's computer. These were taken in Vulcan Park, Birmingham, Alabama. (If you don't know about Vulcan - the largest cast iron statue in the world - you can read all about it here.) While Jane accompanied Bob on many of his jaunts in his '59 Sport Fury, she doesn't recall if she snapped the pix of Bob behind the wheel, or if it was one of his car buddies.
