New member, Sport Fury hardtop

Post by Ralphie361 »

Hello everyone, new to the forum, not new to my car though! I purchased this ‘59 Sport Fury in 2002 for $300, and it probably should have been a parts car, but I fell in love! Very rusty car, it’s taken me until this year before I could get it welded together and take it down the road. I have the original 361 and torqflite from it, but I’ve git a 63 361 and 70’s 727 in it now, with a b body 8 3/4 and Volare disc brakes up front. Lots of work left, but finally making progress. Thanks for having me!

Welcome aboard, Ralph! I've enjoyed watching your vids on Facebook. There's a great bunch of '59 owners here, and I am sure you can get any advice you may need. Thanks for joining!

Hi Ralph. When you swapped in the 8 3/4 rear, did you need to change wheels/tires for clearance or was there no issue?

Hi Pete, I've not heard much from Ralph - I don't know how often he frequents the Forum. But it's an interesting technical question, so I've reposted it here.
