Exhaust Pipes and Mufflers

Post by mrtester »

Kepich Exhaust Systems supplies complete exhaust systems for most vintage vehicles, manufactured to original factory specifications. Their mufflers and pipes have been installed on many award-winning old car projects, and are available in either alumnized or stainless steel. All Chrysler products are listed as a group here by engine type, and the prices vary accordingly. Expect to pay anywhere from $100 for a 4-or-6 cylinder alumnized single system to $750 for stainless steel V8 dual pipes complete with mufflers.

Sorry to report back, but Kepich has been getting some negative reports that are available online. Cars and Parts has had no problems with them, but a few members of the Imperial club have. Most of the installation problems have centered on getting the front exhaust pipe to line up with the exhaust manifold. I have the Kepich Exhaust reviews from the Imperial Club listed below, with a link to the worst reports at the bottom of the page. The record on Kepich Exhaust appears to be mixed, so keep this in mind before dealing with them.

Kanter Auto products is now offering repro exhaust systems for vintage vehicles including all 1957-59 Mopar products. They must be better than Kepich Exhaust, because their front end kits have been generally satisfactory to work with. Still, it would help to check the fit of your new exhaust system before you actually install it. But having said that, at least it's not Kepich.
