weatherstrip woes

Post by Faulkner »

(*sigh*) there's apparently a early 59 upper weatherstrip, and a late... Bernbaum sent me the early, but I need the late. Here's a pic of the weatherstrip end on, and the channel end on:

I'm sending it back, Steve's going to send me the right stuff.

Oh yeah -- cat whiskers too

The cat whiskers (window sweepers) that fit on the interior chrome are of a different design than the exterior ones that mount on the door. They're narrower, and they have no lower bead. (They both have a chrome bead at the top.) Bernbaum's sent me the same for both... Back they go.

By the way, the exterior pieces fit beautifully. I recommend highly.

Go for belt weatherstripping

This is an old stuff, its just right to return it back. I suggest why not to try a belt weatherstripping. This will gonna be great to your plymouth.

Here is a thread that might help: belt weatherstripping (cat whiskers)
