Re: question about rim color
Hope this reply is not too late to help, but the answer really lies with what the original wheel covers were. If it was full wheel covers, as was standard on Sport Furys, then it would be argent (silver) on the outside face and black on the inside, undercarriage side of the wheel. But if if was just...

Bumper guards
Roger, I'm looking for the long strips, with the thin stainless surrounding metal. My originals have too much wear and cracks for me. The request does mean I'm trying to gather parts again, and the car "sees daylight" every day the sun shines in the garage window. It hasn't moved in a long...

Need front rubber bumber guard strips

Thanks,
Bernie Brouillet

Location of the VIN plate seems to be more of an assembly plant issue than by car model. We've discussed that before in the forum, with Evansville producing most (I used to think it wass all) of the convertibles, but then surprise, one or two Sport Fury convertibles showed up here with Newark Delawa...

Here's three more name plates for the record. My Sport Fury convertible was built at Evansville April 21, 1959 and has VIN M293 105124 plate on the firewall above the master cylinder. No body plate present. My parts car, an LA built hardtop has the VIN plate on the drivers door jam, brite finish, M2...
