Re: Power widow set up for a Conv. Wanted
I think Roger is close on his estimate of $1000 on a complete system, which might still need some motor rebuilding and switch repair. In 1993 I paid $600 for a parts car from Boise, ID just for the power windows. About a 900 mile round trip to get it home. If you find a set, be prepared to cut some ...

If you are measuring zero compression in all cylinders, I would suspect the compression gauge.

Re: CONVERTIBLE PARTS
I bought my new pump, hoses and cylinders from Convertible Service in San Gabriel, CA. This is the www.convertibleparts.com that Dick mentioned. I was pleased with the parts and the service. Everything is still working.

Re: VALANCE ON EBAY.
Congratulations!! Good thing do still happen. This reminds me of one of my good happenings through the years. In 1986 I was looking for some parts for my first 59SF (the white one in the Showcase under Larry Flynn) and found a guy in Portland, OR with an attic full of stuff. I found what I was looki...

Hi Mark,
Examples of a cover made from an original would be Wil Eichelberg's SF in the Showcase and my Belvedere at Carlisle under Events. The same upholstery shop made both of them from Wil's original.

Re: Are SF and Belvedere armrests the same?
I have the larger ones on both of my cars. I know the big one is standard on a SF. I think the smaller ones were on four doors, and others. I"m sure a lot of us would use the larger ones on a rebuild when we had them. My Belvedere convertible has a lot of options that I added during it"s b...

Re: Looking for Conv Pinich Well Molding for Boot Snaps
Hi Mark and others, I ended up making my own strips. I bought stock aluminum strips from the hardware store, 1/2 inch wide and 1/8 in thick. I laid down a sheet of plywood on the shop floor and traced the stainless strip on it. I drove nails part way into the plywood along the inside curve of the tr...

Re: Show pics: Portland, Or. 2010
The white Belvedere belongs to Don Mack, Medicine Hat Alberta. He is in the showcase. There were six 59 Plymouths at this National Plymouth meet. Wil Eichelber's and Roger's red SF converts were the other two.

Re: Seat Fabic /Vinyl Pattern Layout
Roger, if you look at Wil Eichelberg"s SF webpage, you"ll be reminded that there is carpet on the seat backs. The carpet is the same as the floor and bottom of the doors. You might also look at his very original 318 with silver/gray valve covers.
