Re: Books on 59s
The Butler book has been out of print for some time so it's rarity is a plus.
I think the other book you mentioned has a picture of a 59 on the cover?
Both would be of interest to anyone with these cars I think.

Re: What is the correct layout of SF Keys and Locks
Copied this page from the owner's manual from the Ephemera section of this website. Mark, I saw this after I sent you the photo of my original keys, and it confirms what I gave you for info about the two keys used. http://www.59plymouth.net/ephemera/images/print/52.jpg Also, Mark, FYI: I just saw yo...

Re: 6 Pack Road Runner
Sorry to hear you found an "H" in the VIN, like John said it has to be "M" for an original '69. There are many web sites with true believers in these cars, AKA "A12" cars who can help with all the details. If you want a real one, gotta double check. Fender tags don't ju...

Re: 318 Barn Find Sport Fury HT on EBay
John and Matthew, I guess I had too much coffee today, already emailed CHS for Evansville info. We may have to take up a collection for all the stuff they (might) have. Which conveniently brings us back to the discussion that started this whole thread, the black car for sale in New Jersey. Matthew, ...

Re: 318 Barn Find Sport Fury HT on EBay
John, Thank you for the research - good thing I have a cup of coffee in my hand to aid in digesting the info. First, maybe we should collectively write to Chrysler Historical for any photos or other info about Evansville. Since they shut that plant down after the 1959 model run maybe they kept somet...

Another 318 Sport Fury on eBay
Here's an interesting convertible for sale. I've tried to post a link without success, sorry. You'll just have to hop over to eBay and seek it out. It's a car I looked at to buy over 31 years ago, just before the present owner Bob bought it. Just got off the phone with him, and there's been quite a ...

Re: 318 Barn Find Sport Fury HT on EBay
John, Each trim line was numbered separatel in 1959, so your Belvedere numbers won't correspond with Sport Fury series cars. Interesting you said April, do you have the exact date? My SF convert was built at Evansville 4-21-59 and is 105124 S/n - Per Matthew, his dad's SF hardtop came from Evansvill...

Re: 318 Barn Find Sport Fury HT on EBay
Just an FYI on that serial number. Being an Evansville built car, it was a later production car starting with "6" as the 3rd digit, probably very late May or June build date. Wonder if Matthew could share the appx. last serial numbers by plant, as in order to reach almost 24,000 Sport Fury...

Re: SF Systems Checkout Test Ride a Success
Sorry about the bad info on wiper blade length - it's been decades since I bought any for a '59. Wheel color depends upon whether full wheel covers or just hubcaps came on the car. With full wheel covers, standard on Sport Fury, wheels were painted Argent on the outside, and Black on the inside. Tha...

Mark,

Dick, Check out this link for poly engine lovers - http://www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/poly318.html Most likely someone there will know for sure, but you will be going against the grain, they are dedicated to preserving and hopping up poly engines. Ricky, Please, no four-letter words here - and snow is a four-letter word! Good luck to you for the season. You brought back a memory; my best car in snow was my 70 RR 440-6 with four speed. Heavy car, Sure-Grip, etc. Wouldn't run well until warmed, but traction no problem, did have studded snow tir...
