Parts for a 4-door... Fury?

I spoke last night to an acquaintance of Dave Stragand's, a fellow by the name of John Diekewicz. He has a number of parts, including some trim, from a 4-door; I want to say it's a Fury, but actually now I forget what model he said they were from. If you have a specific need, you might want to send ...

Roger, The calibration of the sensor is to the gauge for the model year, not to the engine. Water at 150 degrees in a flathead 6 will drive the gauge to the same position as water at 150 degrees in a 318. However, when they change the dash (and the gauge, or even to an idiot light) the impedence ran...

Cody -- don't rule out the prospect that you have a bad heater control valve. They're notorious for springing leaks... You see NOS ones on eBay all the time, I recently picked one up myself.

Andy Bernbaum's

Despite the problems I've had with getting the right parts (two different flavors, depending on whether early or late in model year), I have to recommend Andy. I've gotten a lot of weatherstripping from him, and when it's right, it's perfect. The look and feel is professional. 1-617-244-1118 http://...

I just gotta vent here

Well, I can see that what Mike recommends is the right way to do it -- and, I will for the passenger side, when I remove to replace the window channel. But, because my driver's side frame was already broken, I was able to pull it up enough to swing 90 degrees, and then work the bracket out. Man! The...

cant get on the forum, again

Subject: cant get on the forum, again Anybody else having this problem? roger I'm on now, Roger, and I'm not having a problem. I wonder if other folks are. Did you try the numeric address, instead of the name? Roger has been having persistent, ongoing problems in reaching the forum. I'm trying to d...

removing a vent window

My driver's side vent window needs to have the pot metal soldered, it's cracked in at least one place. I'm attempting to remove the vent window, but the bracket mounted on the bottom of the window track prevents the vent from being lifted directly up and out. The window track is one of two pieces th...

Oh yeah -- cat whiskers too

The cat whiskers (window sweepers) that fit on the interior chrome are of a different design than the exterior ones that mount on the door. They're narrower, and they have no lower bead. (They both have a chrome bead at the top.) Bernbaum's sent me the same for both... Back they go. By the way, the ...

Oy! Matthew, how did you and your dad find them?!

You know, the front motor is different than the rear motor... (at least, in my car they are).

Obtaining Vehicle Records

Hi Mitch, your message came to me. I'm taking the liberty of posting my reply to both the mailing list and the forum, in case other members would like to comment. I've recently purchased a 1959 plymouth sport fury which i'm restoring. Is it possible to find out where the car was originally bought fr...
