I ve read on either this site or fwlook thst the adapter causes leaks.My car had one on it and all a long I thouht it was the rear main leaking,now that I ve seen that post I m not sure.Anyone heard of this?Charlie

For sale,1959 rearend ,2.97 gear ratio,it has 60 model year drums with studs instead of lug bolts,wheel cylinders 2.5 years old.Assembly has not been opened and has no known problems.I am selling this ,I feel cheap enuff to help someone out and to keep it in use.I don't want to see it get pressed in...

Hey Roger,my opinon is if you can t touch it it s still low.I just checked a 59 rearend in the yard,if you notice, the fill/check hole is up by the axel tube.The tube always holds a little oil but if the fluid level is low the outer bearings may not get enuff juice.Hope that helps.Charlie

Try using JB weld,mine had a crack up the center,filled it in and sanded it down and you never knew it was damaged.Charlie
