valance wanted

Post by ilikeplymouth2 »

i am looking for a front valance for my 59 savoy. anyone have a lead on one of these? also if any one has a photo of a valance not installed on a car, possibly from a few different angles, maybe you could post a couple or send them to me directly at sgtriffraf@earthlink.net i may have to bend one from scratch! thanks, mike in k.c.

Hi Mike, are you in KC. I'm at the Lake of the Ozarks. The front valance when I was doing my 59 was crashed and my body man told me to get another one. This was in 1993 and I was unable to find one. I spent a lot of money to have mine straightened. I wish someone would build a reproduction as I see alot of the 59's without them. Sorry I can't help.

front valance

Post by ilikeplymouth2 »

yea, i am in kansas city. i found 2 locally, but the cars they are on have sunk down deep into the ground and the valances are crushed. i have a parts source if you need something. let me know and i'll tell you what is good and not so good on the 2 that i found. one is a 4 door suburban, and the other is a 2 door belvy sedan with a manual tranny. do you have a hardtop or sedan? thanks, mike in k.c.

I guess Ozarks59 (Dennis I guess) has a beautifull! Belvedere 2dr hardtop.
Here's his page: http://59sportfury.net/showcase/firestone.html
