New to site

Post by Gene »

Hello everyone. My name is Gene Petrini and I live in "Hell on Earth" Mesa Arizona. I have been a Mopar guy for many years and am currently working on a 59 Sport Fury Convertible. I am in need of a complete convertible top, can be rusty, bows, rails frame. I believe a 57, 58, or 59 Mopar will work. Also need a complete engine and tranny with two fours set up with air cleaners. Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome Gene!

Your best friend when it comes to parts is John Fowlie ("Big M"), whose contact info can be found here. Give him a shout. Regarding the dual quad setup, prepare for sticker shock! :o But some on this site (notably, Matthew Keij) have gathered parts here and there and built from scratch.

Glad to have you aboard!

Hi Gene, welcome. Do you have any engine at all and if so is it the 318 or the 361 CI.

Dick, my 59 does not have an engine or tranny. I am looking for a 361 Golden Commando. Thank you all for the welcome!

Welcome!

Any more info on your Sport Fury?
If you can send me the VIN I can decode it for you and put it in my SF database.

I did build a dual quad setup from scratch recently

Dan, this is a better and cheaper manifold than the first one l sent you. And yes it will fit a 361.

And the carburetors, and the linkage, and the filters, and the new manifold gaskets and the manifold paint. Ka-ching, Ka-ching.

Filters are easy, K&N are making them now.
Linkage, choke tube, choke assy can be bought brand new these days, just like the air cleaners.
Throttle return springs and brackets, carb spacers are also available new.

I converted 2 normal 4 barrel carbs to dual quad carbs and they work!
