I realise I,m a little late getting on the forum on the subject of trunk mats. I had mine built by a guy here in Alberta a while back I think he just did an excellent job of recreating the original , and all hand done no molds to work with . He even went so far as embed the original serial number into it. He also does reproduction rubber running boards for older model cars .He does excellent work as you can see ,however the pics do not do
justice to his work. Don

Don - l have seen that mat in several cars and have wondered where they came from. Would you please share with us the contact information of your source and if you don't mind what they cost. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for interest in the trunk mat I will see what I can do. I know Ed Eckerson has a reproduction also( Molded) ,however I had tried to contact the man but had no luck until I got in contact with this local guy . Did all models have the rubber mat or did SF and F have actual rug like Gary Goers has? Don

These rubber mats were in ALL 59 Plymouths. Even 57's and 58's.

I think Chrysler and Dodge had the same mats. I know DeSoto had different mats

Dick followed the lead provided by Don Mack, and got this reply:

Subject: Trunk mat,Dodge, Desoto

Hello, I am the owner of running board rubber, Kris Arneson... I built the trunk mat for Don, I would be interested this winter making these mats again! but to make the price reasonable we would need a order of six or more! I believe the price will be around the $600.00 USD price, freight is always extra.
One problem we have is Don supplied me with a old mat and I am sorry to say that mat is not available any more, so I need another old mat sent out to me.
Let me know what you think,
Regards,
Kris
Dick can provide Kris' email address, but perhaps it's best if all interested parties express their interest here, and as a group petition Kris to make them. Now, what he should really do, is open an eBay Store for them - he'd get all the orders he can handle, and maybe drive that price down even further.

Plymouth mats were the same pattern from '57-'59, Dodge had their own version, as did the senior cars, Desoto, and Chrysler.
