Sway Bar - How to install a sway bar

Post by sportfury1959 »

Dear All,

A couple of month ago I found a sway bar for my SF and I’d like to mount it now. The problem is, that my SF never had an original bar so it doesn’t have the brackets on the frame.
Can anybody of you who has an original sway bar send me a couple of pictures where I can take an exact measure? If possible from all angles.

Here some samples of pictures I need:

1. Distance from the front of the sway bar to the bolt (front of torsion bar).
2. Distance from the middle of the retainer (bolt) to the cross member
3. Where does the rear part of the sway bar end when installed? Does it go over the bolts of the control arm strut?

(I would appreciate until Friday night, because Saturday comes the guy with the welder.)

Thanks a lot to all !!!

Stefan
