Radiators & Heater Cores

Post by Fins59 »

Read somewhere a tip on checking for leaks. Cut a bicycle tube in half. Attach one end to inlet and other end to outlet. Apply air to valve stem and check for leaks.

Wow -- I'm likin' this tip! Roger gave me a radiator core, I'm going to test it this way before I put it in.

Any recommendations on air pressure? I guess the same pressure you would see in a heater system... 10, 15 lbs?
