Very sharp!
I am not familiar with this color interior. It's almost like a black-and-white photo. Is this how a Canadian car was outfitted, or is this a custom job?

My best guess is that this is a custom job but looks like it would be from the factory.
Sport Fury's were only available with a copper, blue, red or green interior

Well, it's a very thorough and professional job. All new welting around door openings, the steering column, padded horn center, everything done in that grey-ish color. The only things missed were the cardboard under the swivel seat and the re-cast steering wheel.

As with my red and white SF the previous owner redid the seats with white vinyl where the red and white cloth should be. Even thought the door panels had turned brown he left them alone. I'm sure it did this because he was unaware of the cloth being availabe or because of it's high cost I believe it's the former.
I don't know but I'm guessing the previous owner of Furymans car found a cloth somewhat similar and then decided to match that color. Regardless, it may not be factory correct but it's still stunning visually.

Matthew - I have a bolt of black and white cloth with metallic thread ?? that was in my green car when I got it. I plan on using it in my Belvedere Convertible with white vinyl but using the Belvedere upholstery layout.

I kinda like that stock configuration detail but custom interior on Furyman's SF kinda neat and different but still looks period to the untrained (non-Forum) observer. :P Even has the buckles too!

I would stay with it unless it wears out prematurely.

I do not wish to be mis-understood! I like '59 Plymouths, whether they be survivors, restored-to-original, or custom.
I do have a habit of pointing out variations from original...but it's not meant to be critical. Car owners need to feel free to show and drive their cars without criticism. If they all look the same, it's boring!

Roger, I don't think anyone thought you were critical at all. My interior will be similar (when done..)to an unbuckled SF swivel seat car but with a different shade of brighter blue to go with my Turquoise exterior paint and white vinyl as the bolster. I want mine to look period but not perfect.

We all just like the 59's no matter the level or detail of the restoration or surviorship. Your knowledge and input we all benefit from and hope to for a long time!

Keep on keeping on! :D

Mel did send me the detail of the data plate.

This car originally had a copper interior. The body was painted Palomino Beige and the top Bronze.
