The Rumors of Our Demise are Greatly Exaggerated

Post by Faulkner »

Well, it's been quiet on the '59 Forum since Carlisle 2019. Too quiet. Not surprising, I suppose, that we should come way down from that high, on the 60th Anniversary of the '59 Plymouth.

Still, it's unfortunate that we don't see a lot of activity from '59 owners, flung far and wide. Facebook? The last gasps of Summer? Perhaps those things, and more.

But, life goes on. I hope - now that I'm semi-retired - to have more time on my hands, and to make improvements to the site, both in terms of user friendliness, but also content (of which I have boatloads stored up).

So: We're not dead yet! Stop in from time to time, and check things out. We'll keep the light on.

Its pretty hard to beat the weekend of the 60th! Sadly my plans for Plymouth glory have been kind of dashed. Just after Carlisle I got tasked to fill in for a guy that got hurt on another ship so I am on the USS Wasp steaming across the Pacific right now heading out with a Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force. We are due back in a few months but as soon as I get back to my parent command and I have Christmas off then they start pre-deployment training for another deployment . So I am going to be at sea/deployed basically from now till June of 2021 :| Kourtney is in the process of packing up the house and is going to move back to San Diego to be closer to family while I am gone. So no Plymouth progress for me in the foreseeable future. But I will still be keeping up on here to fallow every one else's progress.

Will, Oh Noes!! :o

Still: The '59's have been waiting for attention from all of us, for over 60 years. What's two more? They'll keep!

Best to you, and to Kourtney, as you enter this next phase of your lives. We'll keep the lights on for ya!

Well, it's been quite a whirlwind of a summer for me, sad I had to miss Carlisle! I did just get my brakes redone so at least I will be getting in the last of summer and early fall for cruising! Hope to take Sport out when the leaves change here in Ohio, as long as we don't end up with a rainy fall- you never know around here.
