Hope to be back on it in the new year
Hallo Vic! Home improvement projects have a way of mushrooming, I know... Still, interested to know how things are going down there. Send up a flare when you can!

Hi Dan

yeah apologies for not being interactive of late

between house renovations, kids growing up to fast, son starting to drive, employment issues - guess what goes on the back burner !!!

at this stage the car hasnt progressed other than getting cob webs over it

love what you have done with the Web site - been keeping an eye on everyone's progress

hope all are well and hopefully i can get back on track of finishing this project - my son is now pushing me so that he can drive it - what better excuse than that!

ill try to keep in touch

Cheers

Noice, Vic! But, you've uncovered another bug in my Forum...

I'll write about it in the Announcements Forum.

Vic, I've edited your video so that it will play on Windows, as well as the iPhone from which you uploaded it. Now other members can enjoy.

I'm sorry your son didn't win - but, he did come in a close second :P Gotta love those slant sixes...

Hi all
Long time between drinks!
Hope all are well and surviving these crazy times
Life’s got in the way but I’ve finally managed to get back on the 59
Some videos to share
Next off to the mechanic to set carby up correctly
Then back to the paint shop to finish off painting
Hopefully 2021 will be the year I finally finish this long overdue project

First start up after 6 years having built engine
Going for a drive up and down the driveways
Trying to tune

Found an exhaust leak in the stock exhaust manifold where the choke mounted up to
Had fun setting up the push button controls from the 59 with a 62 Plymouth 727 push button trans
The 62 controller was a horizontal alignment so had to tinker with adjustments in trans to align neutral
My power steering pump ceased on me as it hadn’t been turned for years
All part of the fun !!

Welcome back, Vic!!! Great vids. The only snag is that you uploaded these from your iPhone, which uploads in something called "H.265" format. An innovative compression standard, but not supported on Windows or Android devices. You may remember the gory details from here... But it's easy enough for me to convert them to H.264, the universal standard - and that's what I did!

So, keep those cards and letters and videos coming - and I'll do the fixups on my end, no bother. Great to see your progress, and looking forward to the story unfolding!
