318 2 barrel and Fury 2dr hardtop parts

Post by Ron Keij »

We are cleaning out the garage for the new arrival and here is a list of parts we don't need anymore:

Complete Fury hardtop side trim, only missing the trunk moulding.

One long strip from the door to the Y shape piece has a dent and needs some work.
One of the Y shape pieces needs to be replaced. Other than that the rest is in good shape. Has an extra set of mouldings and insert of the drivers side front fender.
1 extra Fury logo that isn't perfect but the other 2 are great. Need new black paint for show quality.

Inserts look good but has some minor bends in it, probably can be straightened easily. They have been in a dry but dusty storage and we did not clean them.
make an offer....

4 handles for manual operated windows.
Chrome is very good! Need new clips
$25

2 barrel carb.
Was completely re-done and looked like new. Stored in a box but we had a water leak so could use a carb kit
$25

Aircleaner for a 318 2 barrel.
Needs new paint but no bad rust in it. Bracket to the carb is there and that one was sandblasted.
$10

Horn ring for normal steering wheel. Has the "Plymouth hubcap" in the center.
Ring has pits! But still looks good
$10

Will update when we find more.

What? No convertible parts???? No deluxe steering wheels for $50 already with the recast clear? Swivel seats? complete AC system? NOS Golden Commando Air Cleaners for $30? Where's the good Stuff!!?

Actually, the parts will be of some use to those whose Fury is missing them. Just thought I would pipe in with no reasoning behind it... (as most of my postings are) Belvedere parts are even rarer! That is the steering wheel type I will be using till I get my Deluxe wheel recasted. Mine is in good shape.

John,

I am so dissapointed in you  Of all people I expected you to be the smartest one and see the opportunity to upgrade you Belvedere to a a Fury convertible! Wouldn't that be unique, I think I never saw one before! You still have the chance to own the first 59 Fury convertible unless Mopar Mel reads this first

Gosh Ron...I never thought of it that way...I was being short sighted on it all. Matthew has now shown me the first Fury Convertible and now mine will be the second one if I scarf up Matthews parts like I should.

I guess it is like lemon-aid out of Lemons. My sincerest apploigies to the Keij family for ruthless attact on my part on your parts I thought I would never need. Now if I can get someone at Chrysler Historical to look the other way on my IBM card info...I am as good as gold! Ony two of them made and I would have one of them! LOL (two of none)

Maybe Octie can help, He was very nice at Carlisle this year and we both work for Chrysler. Him for a zillion years and me for only 6.

Matthew, who did a Fury Clone Convert of a Belvedere? Looks pretty good. Two bad none were made but it makes the two trim levels they did them in worth more. IMHO

Not meaning to hijack the Keij's For Sale post...

George Dalinis from Illinois built the Fury cvt from a Belvedere he found in a junkyard. There was a write-up in one of the club magazines. I had the magazine for years, but now I cannot find it. Dan Morton, Steve Storey and probably Tom Fox could tell you more.

The story is in "The Plymouth Bulletin" No. 199 dated March-April 1993. Article is titled "The Impossible Convertible" by George and Bea Dalinis of Washington, Illinois. I bet Dan Morton has a copy of this pub and could put it on here somehow. I sure don't know how :(
