Dick, he's tawkin' about the fact that Red appears to be limping - fender skirt on one side, and not the other.

For me, I'm likin' the passenger side :P :P :P

Well, a tad closer, Sergio is working on the front seat backs right now. Things are looking good for getting the car in two weeks!! AARRRRRRRRRR! a kinda major setback has occurred, when putting the top down to see if the boot fit (got it from Gary Goers and it did fit) two holes appeared in the top on each side at the second bow from the rear. Sergio went ballistic and immediately said I'm ordering a new top, my reputation is at stake and no car is leaving my shop like that. I will get the car with the top down until the new top comes in to give it some test runs and work out any kinks before we drive to http://www.crusinthecoast.com then on to New Orleans to visit family, A 850 mile trip one way. Take about 2 weeks for top to be made, sounds familiar doesn't it.

This may be a better link. http://www.cruisinthecoast.com/About.html I trailered Charleen to New Orleans in 2005 for one of my Niece's wedding and then went to Crusin the Coast. The reason I trailered Charleen was I didn't have confidence she could make that long haul. One of the Venues "Bay St. Louis, MS." is where I was born, so we spend a lot of time there.

No matter when you ask, fusion energy is always twenty years away.

" two holes appeared in the top on each side at the second bow from the rear. Sergio went ballistic and immediately said I'm ordering a new top."

Interesting issue with the convertible top. I wonder if the material was under tension at the pressure points on each side of the bow?
I recently did a entirely new reproduction frame and new convertible top for one of my cars this past December. The top was a quality commercial top manufactured by Robbins Convertible Tops.
My installer said they have had good luck with extra room at the pinch points with this manufacturer.

Just my two cents ... hope it works out with your new replacement top.

WD - Two cents always welcome, there are two tabs at the bend that prevents the bow from going too far. The top is a quality top also. the pad has to be moved to the outside approx 1-1/2" and extra padding added at that point. It had nothing to do with too much tension.

Hoo Kay - We are down to two days (I think) on the upholstery. All that is left is the trunk beauty boards and carpet and bits and pieces. The seats came out real nice.
See pitchuhs,

Finally got Bertha Irene home. Cleaned her up and have to do some serious window adjustments but I am going to have to take all of Sergio work out to make the adjustments. Thank God he said I could do it at his shop, I just don't have the room here. He want's me to leave the top up for now so there are no pictures with the top down. I will send those later. I just could not wait to send these pictures.

This is Sergio's son Junior, he is a very good upholsterer in his own right.

By the way, I keep a bag of candy on the front seat. They have to be 21 and older to qualify.
