Vic - Are those strips available in colors and are they dimmable. The bulbs l used are dimmable. How are they connected electrically.

Howdy

It's just a typical electrical store called Jaycar

Runs a simple positive which I powered off if the light switch and then just earthed it to the housing

Cheers

My concertible has a 59 Desoto shifter that has its own bulb mounted to the front of the shifter to light up the plastic pushbuttons. I replaced the bulb with a green LED bulb and oh my gosh, take a look. Will try a strip on the heater buttons like Vic.

Awesome

With the strip in place it will look even

Be sure to get one with a self adhesive backing

I then placed it in line with the plastic cutout

Bit of a tight fit getting in there

Cheers

Vic

Me again
I assume you could get colored ones
In terms of dimming they work well when I turn the dimmer toggle

Yes, in fact I just ordered a green LED self adhesive strip that you can cut every 3 inches along with extra connectors just a few minutes ago. See www.superbrightleds.com.
